Born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and now based in East London, OneThabs’ journey into DJing has been shaped by a complex and deeply personal path. A product of the pandemic era, the global silence became the catalyst that awakened a musical spirit that had always lived within him, pushing him behind the decks and into a world of sound, movement and connection.

Known for his high-energy sets and deep, soul-stirring grooves, OneThabs delivers Afrohouse grounded in emotion and rhythm, with strong influences from vocals and singalong moments. His selections are designed to transport listeners into a trance of self-enjoyment and freedom in movement, creating dance-floor experiences that uplift the spirit.

Drawing inspiration from his surroundings and community, his sound blends deep Afrohouse and Afrotech, balancing soulful textures with driving percussion and big beats. With over five years of moving dance floors, One Thabs has built an impressive list of highlights including No Signal’s Diaspora Dance, the inaugural launch of Afrotronic in Portimão, Portugal, Piano People, Ministry of Sound, and more.

As part of The ADM Show, One Thabs will curate bi-monthly broadcasts reflecting his musical identity, featuring carefully selected tracks, guest mixes and conversations that align with the show’s commitment to centring African electronic music and culture.
