The Caribbean Music Awards has unveiled its 2026 nominees and opened public voting ahead of this year’s ceremony.
Now in its fourth year, the awards will feature more than 250 nominees across over 40 categories, celebrating the artists and sounds shaping Caribbean music worldwide.
Lady Lava leads this year’s nominations with nine nods, spanning Soca, Zess, Chutney Soca and performance categories. Close behind are Ayetian, Machel Montano and V’ghn with seven nominations each, while Shenseea and Skillibeng earn six nominations apiece.
Other strong contenders include Masicka, Popcaan, Valiant, Vybz Kartel and Yung Bredda, alongside Full Blown, Jesse Royal, Joé Dwèt Filé, Kes, Lila Iké and Mical Teja.
On the song side, “Shake It to the Max (Fly) Remix” by Moliy, Skillibeng, Shenseea and Silent Addy is the most nominated track of the year with three nominations.
The 2026 edition also introduces nine new categories, including awards recognising Dennery, Zess, Konpa, Chutney Soca, Jab and French Caribbean music, further expanding the ceremony’s celebration of Caribbean culture and creativity.
Following last year’s landmark BET broadcast, the Caribbean Music Awards continues to grow as a global platform spotlighting both established and emerging talent from across the region.
