New Free Baby and Toddler Community Launches in Brent

Events

September 9, 2026

Families with children aged 0–5 in Brent are being invited to a new free weekly baby and toddler community, launching on Monday 28 September at Brent Hub Community Enterprise Centre in Stonebridge.

Babyzone Brent is a new partnership between Babyzone and Brent Council, created to provide local families with access to free activities, classes and support during their children’s early years.

The new community will officially launch at 9.30am on Monday 28 September at:

Brent Hub Community Enterprise Centre
6 Hillside
Stonebridge
London
NW10 8BN

Free weekly activities for babies and toddlers

Babyzone Brent will run every Monday during term time, from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

Families can arrive at any time during the day and are welcome to stay for the whole session if they wish.

The sessions will include a range of classes, activities and community sessions, alongside soft play and other activities designed to support each baby and child’s personal development.

The aim is to create a welcoming space where babies, toddlers, parents and carers can spend time together, meet other local families and access activities that support children’s development and wellbeing.

Supporting early years development

The launch comes as there continues to be a strong focus on the importance of the early years and giving children the best possible start in life.

Babyzone’s mission is to support families by connecting them with high-quality services that nurture children’s health, development and wellbeing.

This includes helping children develop important skills for school readiness and supporting their personal development from an early age.

The service is particularly focused on supporting families on low incomes, helping to make high-quality early years activities and community support accessible to local families.

Supporting the whole family

Babyzone Brent is not only focused on children. The initiative also aims to support parents and carers during what can be a particularly important and challenging stage of family life.

By bringing families together and connecting them with services and opportunities in their local community, Babyzone hopes to provide support that benefits families both now and in the future.

Naomi Tracey, Head of Babyzone Barnet and Babyzone Brent, said:

“Our mission is to support families—especially those on low incomes—by connecting them with high-quality services that nurture their children’s health, development and wellbeing, including school readiness.”

She added:

“We also want to support the family as a whole during this stage in life, so that families and the wider community can reap the benefits now and in later years.”

A new community for Brent families

The launch of Babyzone Brent builds on Babyzone’s existing community work, including Babyzone Barnet.

The new Brent sessions will give local families with children aged 0–5 a regular opportunity to play, learn, connect and take part in activities together.

With free weekly sessions, flexible arrival times and a range of activities for young children, Babyzone Brent aims to provide an accessible community space for families across the local area.
