Last week I attended the listening party to Tems latest EP, ‘Love Is A Kingdom’ that dropped at the tail end of November. The EP has spanned popular tracks such as ‘Big Daddy’ and ‘Lagos Love’. This was a surprise drop by the Nigerian babe, and what a welcome surprise it was! We will never say no to music by the woman who gave us ‘Love Me JeJe’!

I was invited down by Sony Music to attend the listening and celebration party. I had the best time! It was held in a lovely venue in Bond Street called 77, and it was very classy. My colleague and I took the lift down to the main space and we were greeted with free cocktails all night at the bar. As the space continued to fill up with guests, and the DJ was playing bangers, it turned into a brilliant social event for music professionals and lovers alike in the industry.

Of course, Queen Tems was in attendance! She showed up looking as radiant as ever, having recently done a press tour earlier in the day. She took to the DJ decks to say a few words of thank you for our support, and for the latest EP. She then joined us in the crowd to dance and take endless pictures with everyone. She was incredibly warm and bubbly.

I had such a brilliant time celebrating music with real music lovers. Meeting Tems made it all the worth while! If you haven’t checked out the EP, it is available on all streaming platforms. My favourite of the collection is ‘I’m Not Sure’, so maybe you can start there!
