In early October, the global Afrobeats superstar Wizkid gave several lucky female fans a special intimate listening party to introduce them to the vibe of his new album. Wizkid, along with some of his superstar friends – DJ Tunez and Brent Faiyaz – previewed new tracks from the new album.
On 18th October, Wizkid announced the name of his new album, “Morayo”, a Yoruba name that translates to “I see Joy”. His sixth studio album is set for release on 22nd November and is currently available to preorder on streaming services. The first song from “Morayo”, “Piece of My Heart” achieved 2.27 million streams globally on its first day.
According to Kworb.net (2024), Wizkid’s best known album, “Made In Lagos: Deluxe Edition” has amassed over 893,000,000 streams on Spotify alone. Fans are heavily anticipating “Morayo” and are excited to see if this project will be as successful as the last.
