The Dancehall legend arrives in Newcastle, as he is due to be honoured with the MOBO Impact Award
The MOBO Ceremony Awards will be taking place on February 18th at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, Kartel has flown into the UK for the first time in over a decade.
This comes after he served over 13 years in prison, which was first told to be a life sentence.
The Dancehall star was born and raised in Waterford, Jamaica. He first came into the scene in 2003 with his Debut album āUp 2 Di Timeā. Since then he has brought out legendary singles including āRamping Shopā, āSummer Timeā and āClarksā.
The MOBO Awards will be livestreamed globally on Youtube at 8pm so make sure to tune in, as well as this years hosts being the sensational duo, Presenter Indiyah Polack and Comedian Eddie Kadi.
The Star has been in collaboration with a number of huge artists over the years, including Missy Elliot, Spice, Eminem, Jay-Z and Busta Rhymes.
