The family of Tupac Shakur have hired celebrity lawyer Alex Spiro to investigate Sean Combs in relation to the 1996 drive-by shooting of Tupac.

Tupac Shakur was tragically gunned down in a 1996 drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the height of an East Coast/ West Coast rap feud where he would be seen going back and forth with Combs and the late Notorious B.I.G. The murder has since gone unsolved, however, in September 2023 Crip gang member, Duane Keith “Keefe D” Davis, was arrested and charged with the murder.

In a series of interviews before his arrest, Davis claimed that Combs put a $1 million hit on Shakur. Despite rumours shortly after the murder that Combs played a part, the Bad Boy Entertainment founder was never charged with the murder.

The Shakur family have now hired Jay-Z and Elon Musk’s former lawyer – Alex Spiro, to investigate and determine whether Sean Combs had any involvement in the late rapper’s death. The news comes following mounting allegations against Combs, in a turbulent September where he was indicted on criminal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
