The US President discussed the proposal during a House Republican Members Conference.

President Donald Trump has proposed a ban of the national income tax in the United States, in a move that he describes as returning the country back to the principles that made it great. The aim of this will be to increase disposable income for American families and citizens.

The plan is to remove the income tax and replace it with tariffs on imported goods. In order to complete this transition, Trump has created the External Revenue Service, who will lead the management of tariffs and related revenues, with Trump stating in his speech itā€™s time for ā€œthe United States to return to the system that made us richer and more powerful than ever beforeā€.
