Jalen Hurts led the Eagles to stop Mahomes from winning the first sporting threepeat in over 20 years.

In an occasion that was arguably overshadowed by the Luka Doncic to the Lakers trade in the NBA, and the anticipation from many for the halftime performance from Kendrick, the Eagles managed to stay focused and put on a defensive clinic. In their second Superbowl appearance since their first win in 2018, and their loss two years ago to the Chiefs in the finals, the Eagles were able to stifle star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who was sacked six times, and threw two interceptions.

Although the Chiefs were able to keep the Eagle’s superstar running back Saquon Barkley relatively quiet, quarterback Jalen Hurts showed why he is the man to continue to lead the franchise in the future, throwing an amazing 46-yard touchdown pass to put the nail in the coffin. Fans in Philly will no doubt be rejoicing this morning.
