The quarter-final of the Champions League has reached its halfway stage.

Football fans are in for a treat next week, with all eight teams capable of getting through to the semi-final.

Tuesday’s Champions League Fixtures

The quarter-final ties started off with a bang on Tuesday, with heavyweight clashes taking place in London and Madrid.

Arsenal recovered from an uncharacteristically sloppy first half against Bayern Munich, equalising late on through Leandro Trossard to draw 2-2.

This young Arsenal side’s lack of experience at this level was on full display against a German side full of veterans.

Despite going behind having initially taken the lead, the Gunners recovered well to avoid defeat at the Emirates.

Real Madrid and Manchester City drew 3-3 the Bernabeu in a game with three lead changes and some incredible goals.

The visitors took an early lead before Real scored twice, all within the first 15 minutes of the game.

City restored their lead through two worldies from distance, until Real equalised thanks to a beautiful Federico Valverde volley.

Wednesday’s Champions League Fixtures

Following a strong start on Tuesday, Wednesday managed to deliver further entertainment, particularly in Paris.

Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid secured a 2-1 win at the Metropolitano against Borussia Dortmund.

Atletico held onto a two goal lead for most of the match, until Sebastian Haller brought one back for Dortmund with less than 10 minutes remaining.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain struggled at home in another game with three lead changes, ultimately falling to Barcelona who won 3-2.

Barcelona kept Kylian Mbappé quiet on the night, and a Raphinha brace led the Blaugrana to a huge away win.

All to Play For

Two of the quarter-final ties are level, and the other two have only a one goal difference.

PSG have left themselves with the most work to do of the eight sides, having lost the first leg at home.

Regardless, it’s safe to say that every Champions League quarter-finalist has everything still to play for.
