The estate of Sinead O’Connor, the iconic singer, songwriter, and activist who passed away last year, has demanded that Donald Trump stop using her music at his political rallies. 

Trump, the Republican nominee for this year’s presidential election in America, has been using Sinead O’Connor’s version of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” on his campaign trail without permission. 

O’Connor, who used her platform to advocate for progressive causes such as mental health, would have been “disgusted, hurt, and insulted” to know that Trump was using her music as part of his campaign. 

It’s not the first time that this issue has arisen, with the likes of Rihanna and Steven Tyler also speaking out in the past about Trump using their music without permission.
