Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has rejected a new contract offer as interest in the England Under-21 international continues to grow among several Premier League clubs.

Securing Scott on improved terms was one of Bournemouth’s key objectives this summer, but negotiations have yet to produce an agreement.

Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Chelsea are all monitoring the 22-year-old, while BBC Sport reported in June that Bournemouth rejected an approach from Arsenal.
Scott joined the Cherries from Bristol City in 2023 in a deal worth £25 million and still has two years remaining on his current contract.

Despite Scott declining Bournemouth’s latest offer, which had been under consideration for at least two months, the club’s position has not changed. Bournemouth remain adamant that the midfielder is not for sale.
The club has made that stance clear publicly, to Scott himself and to interested teams, insisting he will remain at the Vitality Stadium even if he stays on his existing contract.

Although there has been speculation over an £80 million valuation, Bournemouth have consistently resisted interest and rejected approaches.

Having qualified for the Europa League and strengthened their financial position following last summer’s sales of Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez, Illia Zabarnyi and Dango Outtara, Bournemouth are under no obligation to cash in.

The club is also taking a firm approach over highly rated forward Junior Kroupi, who has attracted interest from both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
