Rema continues to show that he’s a flag bearer of the new age of Afrobeats and he’s about to double down on this as he teams up with Selena Gomez.

Selena Gomez announced via social media on Wednesday (Aug. 17) that she has a new collaboration on the way with REMA and ever since that announcement social media went into a frenzy.

Rema recently had a concert in New York and Selena was one of the many who attended the event.

Prior to this announcement, the duo had stirred fans up some days back with a video that surfaced of the two sharing an affectionate moment backstage at Rema’s LA show.

Presently, no date has been set for the release of the song but fans are hopeful it will be out sooner than later.

Shortly after her sighting, social media was filled with videos of Selena kissing the singer on his cheeks. It did not take long for users to spark dating rumors.

At the moment, neither of them has commented on this but it is quite possible that they are just good friends… Let’s see
