Lagos-based artist Leke “CHiFy” Awoyinka, also known as Ekiti Sound, is an artist whose medium is noise. A childhood spent between London and Lagos was intrinsic to the eclectic and unique sonic concoctions he creates, as it provided a lived experience of the musical dialogue between West Africa and the UK, which had a massive impact on his creative expression. By mastering the disparate sounds of two continents, Leke is at the forefront of the explosion in African electronic sounds.
