The UK Rap legends, Krept & Konan along with Kaysor Ali have recently announced their very own supermarket called Saveways. Saveways is based in their hometown Croydon and will be open on 1st February 2025 at 12pm. Saveways is an ‘inclusive’ supermarket which caters to Black, Asian and ethnic minorities. The new supermarket will have an in-store bakery, counters for halal meats and exotic fish, and afro hair and beauty cosmetics.
The MOBO award winners are no strangers when it comes to exploring new business ventures outside of music. In 2018, the two opened a soul food restaurant called Crepes and Cones which was based in Croydon. Crepes and Cones worked alongside many non-profit organisations to give back to the community. In 2022, Krept launched the successful baby skincare brand, Nala’s baby. Nala’s baby is currently sold all over the UK and valued at around £20 million. Recently, Nala’s baby has collaborated with Disney Studios UK and launched The Lion King limited edition gift set.
The pair are beyond thrilled for the launch of Saveways and have said “ Saveways is game-changing for our community, and we are excited to bring this vision to life.” Their business partner, Kaysor Ali added “This partnership has allowed Saveways to become more than just a supermarket, it’s a statement of culture, unity and progress of our communities.”
Alongside this new venture, the “I Spy” rappers are set to release their fourth studio album called “Young Kingz II” on 7th February 2025. The dynamic duo have given fans a taster of “Young Kingz II” by releasing songs like “Nala’s Song”, “Low Vibrations” and ”Delory’s Son”. In addition to the anticipation of their new album, fans can also look forward to the new Saveways launch. Krept and Konan have kickstart 2025 in the most exciting way!
