Ex Love Island contestant, Lochan Nowacki is suing his ex-girlfriend Whitney Adebayo for defamation. The two found love on popular ITV reality show, Love Island in 2023 and quickly became fan favourites, making it all the way to the show’s finals. Earlier this year, the couple revealed to the public that they have sadly ended their nearly two year relationship. Whitney stated on her social media accounts, that the breakup occurred due to Lochan ‘falling out of love for her’. Months since their split, Whitney posted a shocking discovery that Lochan had allegedly called her skin ‘dirty’ and accused Lochan of making racist remarks throughout their relationship. After this post, fans have been in deep shock and disbelief whilst Lochan has strongly denied these allegations. Lochan has now decided to take legal action against his ex, Whitney Adebayo, and has claimed that since Whitney’s post, his career has been negatively impacted.
On 31st August, both Whitney and Lochan posted on their Instagram stories’ screenshots of their private messages. One of Whitney’s screenshots dated “August 2024”, appears to show Lochan apologising for the original ‘dirty’ skin comments to her manager and sister, Liz Adebayo. Whitney shares this screenshot whilst writing below it: “@lochan_nowacki if you can apologise privately, apologise publicly.”
On the 1st September 2025, Lochan posted on his TikTok account, a 2 part video accusing Whitney of lying and completely twisting the truth. Within the 2 part video, Lochan shows multiple clips where Whitney is boasting about the gifts he’d brought her on camera after she claimed she had had to pick up most of the bills in their relationship. Nowacki also included clips of Whitney calling herself “ghetto” in response to her claim that he had told her she was “too ghetto” and “too loud”. As well as a clip of Whitney on her podcast where she had spoken about her sister, Liz, dating a Congolese man, who she said made them look like “two monkeys” together.
Whitney also claimed that Lochan’s mother, Kulminder, had also made racial jokes towards her, like allegedly telling Whitney to smile when the lights are off because she is too“dark”. Within the video, Lochan shared multiple text messages between Whitney and his mother which depicts the two seemingly had a great relationship. Lochan expressed that the only reason he is taking this matter to court is because Whitney has involved his family and revealed his “secret”. Miss Adebayo revealed in her previous TikTok video about this situation, Lochan’s secret hair transplant which was information that Lochan never wanted the public to know about. Whitney has not yet responded to her ex’s 2 part video.
