R&B singer, Producer, Songwriter and Multi-Instrumentalist Leon Thomas performed at KOKO in London on Friday 21st February

The Grammy Award winning songwriter is known for taking the award for best R&B song at the 66th Annual Grammy awards for his work on SZA’s popular hit “Snooze”. 

He was also nominated for best rap song at the 62nd Grammy Awards, after he also helped co-write Rick Ross’ legendary hit, “Gold Roses”.

Alongside being a talented songwriter, writing songs for more big names including Giveon, Ariana Grande and Drake. Leon is also known for his work on his albums ‘Electric Dusk’ and his most recent album ‘Mutt’ which dropped in 2024 and features collaborations with Freddie Gibbs, Wale and Ty Dolla $ign. 

His most recent second studio album pushed the boundaries of modern R&B where he combined soulful melodies with experimental production and rock influences. The album explores the nature and ideas of love, from enjoying singlehood to craving emotional intimacy, Leon Thomas does not lack when it comes to his musical talent. 

The R&B musician was born in Brooklyn, New York and has been in the music scene from a young age starting with Broadway at only 10 years old when he made his debut in 2003 as young simba in the production of Lion King.
