Previous Little Mix star, Leigh-Anne Pinnock has dropped her hotly anticipated single ‘Been A Minute’.
The song that clocks in at 3:20 is a dancehall tinged bop that cleverly samples “Work” by Masters At Work. It is an understated bouncy track with smooth and solid vocals throughout. It is produced by Elijah “GYW Eli” Ross and Lasse Qvist.
A video is out accompanying the fun track, set in a sweaty party while Leigh-Anne and her dancers buss out their best moves. In the end a storyline ensues where another version of the star takes over (locking her away), donning fiery red hair and a red two piece. The video was directed by Femi Lade, who has worked with the likes of Stormzy and Jorja Smith.
This marks her launch as an independent artist after she parted ways with her previous record label, Warner. Her music is now distributed through Virgin Music Group, a subsidiary of UMG.
Leigh-Anne is due to hit popular festival stages this summer such as Boardmasters, Reading & Leeds Fest, Manchester Pride and Hoopla Malta.
