The pair made history during the pre-season when Bronny checked in for the second quarter, in what ended as a 118 – 114 defeat to the Phoenix Suns.

The father-son duo shared the court for a total of 4 minutes and 9 seconds, in a night that also doubled as Bronny’s 20th birthday. The 20-year-old was drafted in the second round by the Los Angeles Lakers as the 55th pick, after overcoming a tough college year at USC where he suffered a cardiac arrest during a routine workout. Despite this, Bronny was able to complete his college year and join his father as part of the Lakers, in what is Lebron’s 22nd season in the NBA.

Bronny ended the historic night with four turnovers and two rebounds, whilst Lebron finished with 19 points. Lebron, 39, who has been speaking of his desire to play alongside his eldest son for several years, reacted to the historic moment on X after the game, stating; “WOW THAT WAS SURREALL!!”
