Kaytranada back with a bang

Kaytranada has announced the release of his third solo album, Timeless.

The album, which consists of 21 songs and a stacked cast of features, drops on June 7.

He also confirmed via Twitter that his new track featuring Rochelle Jordan, “Lover/Friend”, is the first single off the album.

A long time coming

It’s been five years since the Canadian producer dropped his second solo album, Bubba.

The album won the Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album, as well as Best Dance Recording for the smash hit “10%” featuring Kali Uchis.

In doing so, he became both the first Black producer and openly gay artist to win Best Dance/Electronic Album.

Bubba was followed up by Kaytraminé, a collaborative album with Aminé.

For as much of a vibe as Kaytraminé was, it’s on Kaytra’s solo work where his talent is on full display.

His ability to handpick the perfect collaborations with artists from a wide range of genres is second to none.
