The famous entertainer goes off the grid
Halle Bailey, the American singer and actress, has now deleted all of her social media accounts following the controversial opinions online in response to her stance.
Halle Bailey and rapper DDG welcomed the birth of their son Halo, on January 6th 2024.
The couple first sparked a romantic relationship in January 2022, almost two years before they officially became parents.
Problems ensue for Halle and DDG
However, less than a year after the birth of their son, the couple decided to call the relationship quits.
DDG was the first to announce on his Instagram story a heartfelt message confirming the break up, on October 3rd 2024.
The rapper stated that, despite the change in their relationship, his love for Halle still ‘remains deep and true’, adding that they are still best friends and adore each other as they focus on their individual journeys and roles as co-parents.
Whilst Halle never directly addressed the breakup, she took a more silent approach with no intentions of entertaining the internet.
However, as of recently she opened up on her Instagram story to let her followers know that she is ‘extremely upset’ at her ex boyfriend for having their child shown in front of ‘millions’ of people’ on a Kai Cenat live stream, adding that she did not give consent to this.
This left a sour impression on their co-parenting relationship, and many fans were giving opinions on how this should have been a private matter, not one addressed to the internet.
However, some fans stood strong with Halle’s statement as one user wrote, “Totally understandable, boundaries are important, especially during such a sensitive time. Hope they can work things out.”
Alongside her post, Halle also made it clear on ‘X’ that “as a woman experiencing severe postpartum, there are boundaries that I wish to be respected. Nobody knows what somebody is going through until they snap.”
The 24-year-old mother and singer has now deleted all social media accounts, hopefully to get away from the controversy and put her mental health first during this challenging time for new mothers.
