We’re kicking of this gloomy week in England with the exciting World Cup in Qatar which England won their first game against Iran 6-2. Our presenters at The Beat, Douglas and Cameron spoke to our live radio listeners about the World Cup today.
Despite it only being the start of the World Cup Season, there is already controversy between Westernised normalities and Arabian rules, a few of the England players wanted to wear their ‘Love Is Love’ band and Qatar has banned them from doing so, with a warning of repercussions — as they do not support the LGBTQ+ community. Despite this clash between culture and beliefs. England did leave their upset off the pitch off the match and came out on top.

It is Interesting to see how The World cup will be progressing because, we also found out that Qatar have also announced that their events will be booze-free. Fans were shocked to hear this especially as in Europe, football tends to be a boozy event. Will the European fans survive?
