Digga D, a leading figure in the UK’s drill music scene, has confessed to two drug charges following a police raid that interrupted his online performance. The 23-year-old rapper, born Rhys Herbert, appeared via video link at Lincoln Crown Court from HMP Wormwood Scrubs, where he is currently being held in custody.

Digga, originally from Lonsdale Road in Notting Hill, admitted to charges of supplying and importing cannabis. He was arrested near Lincoln in the early hours of February 21 while live streaming on Instagram.

During Tuesday’s court hearing, the prosecution rejected the basis of his pleas. As a result, Judge Simon Hirst postponed the case until July 8 to decide if a trial of issue will be necessary.

The Rapper admitted to smuggling cannabis on July 11, 2023, and to supplying cannabis between October 26, 2022, and February 21, 2024.

Rhys is a prominent figure in the UK drill music scene, with his tracks garnering millions of views online. Despite his legal issues, his influence and popularity within the genre remain substantial.

While in jail, he has been the subject of numerous online discussions, including being dissed by fellow West London rapper Central Cee. Fans are eagerly awaiting his release, hoping to hear his response!
