Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Davido released his highly anticipated album 5VIE on 18th April 2025. 5VIE is Davido’s fifth studio album and is a celebration of Davido’s journey, musical growth and his impeccable ability to blend different sounds. The 17 track-list album has high-energy Afrobeats to smooth and sensual R&B, Dancehall and Amapiano influences. There are an array of featured artists on 5VIE from Chris Brown, Omah Lay, Victoria Mone, Tayc, Dadju, Musa Keys and many more.
In celebration of the new album release, Davido touched down London last week for an intimate performance at London’s Exhibition. Also, OBO teamed up with Cultur.fm for an immersive listening event which was attended by fans, celebrity friends and industry partners. We at the Beat London were thrilled to attend the Cultur.fm X Davido event and the atmosphere within the venue was electrifying. The attendees reactions to the fresh plays from 5IVE were extremely positive and everyone was throughly excited for the new album.
After the album release, Davido has dropped the music video for “Offa Me,” which features Victoria Monét. “Offa Me” is an infectious bop from 5IVE that has already been listed as a contender for the ‘song of the summer’. In regard to summer, Davido has an upcoming tour date with 50 cent and Mary J. Blige on 3rd July 2025 at the London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The expectation for Davido’s long awaited 5VIE album has always been high especially after the success of Davido’s 2023 Timeless album. Timeless reached No. 2 on Billboard‘s World Albums chart and was also nominated for best global music album at the 2024 Grammy Awards. Many smash hits like Unavailable, Champion Sound, No Competition, Na money and many more derived from this great album.
