The English actor who is best known for starring in the American crime drama ‘Snowfall’, has recently announced the launch of his new Jewellery brand ‘Didris’ which has been inspired by his rich African heritage. 

The brand features exquisite pieces that blend traditional African designs with contemporary aesthetics. It aims to showcase and celebrate the beauty of African culture. He released a short clip on his instagram where he called his mum to showcase the new pieces, he says that he was inspired by her to make this brand.

The pieces have been crafted in countries including South Africa, Botswana and Namibia. 

The British actor was born in Peckham, South East London, to a Yoruba Nigerian family. From an early age he had dreams and aspirations of being a professional football player, however things changed when he decided to pursue a different route and study drama at Brunel University. 

He fell in love with acting and started performing plays in local venues across London, slowly making a name for himself and developing the skills that helped him secure and excel in his portrayal of Franklin Saint in the FX hit series ‘Snowfall’. 

Since then his career has taken off, having him move out to the states, become a brand ambassador for Tommy Hillfiger’s menswear, work with luxury brands such as Prada, Bulgari and showcase in adverts for Hennessy. 

He also won a BET Award for Best Actor in 2023 and following this he won an NAACP Image Award in 2024 for outstanding actor in a drama series.
