It may not have been pretty, but Arsenal have finally reached the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in 14 years after edging past FC Porto on penalties.
The Gunners entered the tie with a one goal deficit following a last minute defeat in Porto, and it was never going to be easy to find the breakthrough.
It took a moment of magic from captain Martin Ødegaard late into the first half to level the score on aggregate, when he split the Porto defense to find Leandro Trossard, who tucked a clinical finish inside the far post.
Both sides struggled to create clear chances throughout, and after 120 minutes of football, it came down to penalties.
Arsenal scored all four of their penalties, and David Raya was the hero for the Gunners on the night, saving two penalties to send the Gunners through to the quarter-finals for the first time since 2010.Â
The draw for the quarter-finals will take place on Friday.
