Alicia Keys has achieved a major milestone with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Her 2009 hit with Jay-Z, “Empire State of Mind,” has been awarded Diamond certification, reflecting over 10 million equivalent units sold.

Keys expressed her excitement on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Empire is diamond!!!!!!!!”

This marks Alicia Keys’ first Diamond-certified single and Jay-Z’s third.

Jay-Z earned his first RIAA Diamond certification in 2023 with “Ni**as in Paris,” a collaboration with Kanye West from their 2011 album ‘Watch The Throne’.

He received his second Diamond certification earlier this year for his feature on Rihanna’s breakout hit “Umbrella.”
