Friday 13 March | 6PM–11PM | The Liquor Club, Brixton Market
On Friday evening, The Beat London leaves the airwaves and steps into Brixton Market as the ADM Universe brings its sound into a shared physical space for the first time.

Taking place inside The Liquor Club, the session brings together the DJs and sounds shaping the ADM community – turning radio listening into a real-life gathering built around music, conversation and connection.
Rather than a traditional club night, this is an early evening meet-up where audiences who usually connect through broadcasts, playlists and mixes finally experience the music together in the same room.
One Platform, Three Genres
The ADM Universe lives on one platform – The Beat London – but moves across three distinct corners of African electronic music.
At the centre is The ADM Show, hosted weekly by Ekiti Sound, exploring African electronic sounds through thoughtful selections and cultural context.
Alongside the show’s evolving identity, One Thabs brings Afro House energy through bi-monthly takeovers, adding groove-led selections rooted in Southern African dancefloor traditions.
Polo Soleri’s Yano Selection focuses on Amapiano, documenting the genre’s emotional range through ongoing playlist curation and mixes.
Completing the picture is Mixolis’ G’qom O’Clock, a monthly mix series dedicated entirely to Gqom – celebrating its raw percussion and underground lineage from Durban to diaspora dancefloors.
Together, the three genres – Afro House, Amapiano and Gqom – reflect some of the diversity shaping contemporary African electronic music today.
The DJs Behind the Sounds

Ekiti Sound connects Lagos and London influences, using radio as both a discovery space and a dancefloor starting point.

One Thabs brings groove and movement, building sets designed to feel uplifting and communal.

Polo Soleri approaches playlists like storytelling, allowing listeners to follow Amapiano’s evolution over time.

Mixolis focuses on depth, championing Gqom not as a trend but as a culture with history and intention.
The venue is part of the story. The Liquor Club is a Black-owned off licence and licensed social space tucked inside Brixton Market’s arcade. Known for stocking a wide range of Black-owned drinks brands, it has quietly become a local meeting point where music, conversation and community naturally overlap.
And yes – the homemade rum punch has developed something of a reputation among regulars.
Hosting the takeover here keeps the atmosphere grounded. People aren’t entering a velvet-rope nightlife space; they’re stepping into somewhere familiar, social and rooted in the neighbourhood.
The early 6PM-11PM timing reflects that spirit – accessible, relaxed and community-focused.
From Radio to Real Life
Scenes today often grow slowly:
Radio introduces the sound.
Playlists deepen discovery.
Mix series build identity.
Gatherings bring people together.
The ADM Universe takeover is simply the next step – turning listeners into a visible community.
