Adekunle Delivers in Manchester

Afropop sensation, Adekunle Gold, delivered an amazing performance at the Albert Hall in Manchester on Sunday, February 25, 2024. The show was part of his Tequila Ever After Tour, which followed the release of his latest chart-topping EP, Tio Tequila.

The EP, features a showcase of Adekunle Gold’s versatility and fusion of rap, amapiano, and afrobeats. The audience went wild as he opened the show with Do You Mind?, a zesty and upbeat track that set the tone for the night. He then followed with Omo Eko, a tribute to his hometown of Lagos, and Catch Me If You Can, a catchy and confident anthem.

Adekunle Gold also performed some of his older hits, such as Sade, Orente, and Ire, which highlighted his folk-pop roots and his smooth vocals.

He also surprised his fans with some special guests, one of which was his wife Simi, who dazzled the the audience with her soulful vocals on a duet.

Silva is fast becoming the go-to guy when reviewing African musical shows, partly due to the relationships he has built with promoters to gain all access, but more importantly dude to the quality and ability to tell a story through his images.
