Drake To Host The First NBA Awards EVER!

Already the Global Ambassador for the Toronto Raptors, music star Drake has been announced as the host for the first-ever NBA Awards Show.

The 'Jumpman' star is set to host the televised annual awards on the 26th June at the Basketball City in New York's Pier 36. The event is set to air on America's The Television Network, with the ceremony honouring "the league’s top performers in categories like Kia NBA Most Valuable Player, Kia NBA Rookie of the Year, Kia NBA Sixth Man Award, Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Kia NBA Most Improved Player and NBA Coach of the Year."

Additional awards will be decided by fan voting and revealed on Thursday night's 'TNT's Inside The NBA'.

The NBA Awards won't mark the first time we've seen Drake host an award ceremony before. The music artist previously hosted the 2014 ESPYs, with his performance drawing some rave reviews.
