Could Beyonce Play Nala In The Lion King Reboot?
Looks like Disney is set to get in formation as Beyonce is announced as top choice to play Nala!
According to reports from Variety, Although Queen B has yet to make a final decision on the role due to her twin pregnancy, The director of the movie Jon Favreau and the studio will 'do whatever it takes to accommodate her schedule.'. And seeing as though it's voice-over role, anything is possible.
Just last month (February 2017) Beyonce announced to the world that she was pregnant with twins to the reported surprise of Coachella organisers. The global superstar later had to pull out of headlining the festival altogether with Lady Gaga set to replace the 'Lemonade' artist.
Despite Beyonce's role still being up-in-the-air, up and coming Lion King remake already has an exciting star-studded line-up under it's belt with rapper/actor Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino playing Simba and the legendary James Earl Jones reprising the role of Mufasa.
The live adaptation of The Lion King will mark Favreau's follow up to the recent hit 'The Jungle Book' which took on a similar style. The studio’s emphasis on live-action adaptations follows the successes of “Alice in Wonderland” (2010), “Maleficent” (2014), “Cinderella” (2015), and, most recently, “Beauty and the Beast.”.
