Boddhi Satva Blesses #TheDRUMS
When you hear the name ‘Ancestral’ in relation to house music, only one name comes to mind. DJ, producer extraordinaire and Offering Recordings label head Boddhi Satva; renown all over the world for both his signature ‘ancestral soul’ production sound and dj residencies, the Central African Republic (C.A.R) native has been an ambassador for African house music.
His debut album 'Invocation', executively produced by house music royalty Louie Vega, and acclaimed by a veritable who’s who of connoisseurs and taste makes (Osunlade, Giles Perterson and Bob Sinclair to name a few), introduced the world to ‘Ancestral Soul’. His remixes of mainstream R&B artists further widened his appeal and a global powerhouse for music that both spoke to the listener emotionally and electrified dance floors was born.

Classic offering release Djeff – Mwini
Sophomore album ‘Transitions’ is a testament to the genre defying sound Boddhi has crafted for himself. Featuring artists such as Bilal, Les Nubians, Teedra Moses it embodies his musical influences and the eclecticism that is ‘Ancestral Soul’
Current single - Love Will ft Bilal
Being one of the hordes known to fly to Paris just for his ‘Ancestral’ night at Djoon, one of Europe’s long standing homes for afrohouse, where everyone from Angola’s Djeff to South Africa’s Shimza has played I can testify to the nature of a Boddhi Satva dj set. Dance music with a side order of spirituality, as through the music we pay homage to, commune with and venerate the ancestors. London gets to experience the musical richness of the night as this Easter (Good Friday) ‘Ancestral’ makes its London debut with a line-up that includes home grown DJs, #theDRUMS own Mr Silk, Aluku Rebels, and Rene Moreno.
