The Afrohits Crew Welcome Korede Bello To The Beat

Nigerian popstar and Afrobeat superstar Korede Bello was born in Lagos, Nigeria. As a child, Korede showed a strong interest in Dance and Music, teaching himself to play many instruments. At 7, he began performing on stages across the city and eventually entered his school talent competition at the age of 13 placing first. Slowly growing in popularity due to his unique voice and his wonderful guitar skills, the young star got a mention to Mavin records boss and super producer Don Jazzy who proceeded to sign Korede to a recording and distribution deal with his popular Mavin Records.


His first single under the new label launched him into national stardom, the song titled “African Princess”, was popular with teenage girls around his country Nigeria amassing massive radio and tv plays. Once formerly introduced to the scene with his first single, Korede enjoyed massive success with his now infamous verse on his first collaboration with Mavin label mates in “Dorobucci” . The single which became certified Platinum not only introduced the talented singer to the continent and beyond but was also known for giving birth to the Famous “Korede Bello Wink” which caught headlines.
With more hit songs coming from Korede and the Mavins camp , the young star didn’t just keep to music trying his hands at acting, voice overs including a re-occuring guest acting role in popular  radio drama series called Purple Tins.



With an ever increasing fanbase , Korede’s effect on his army of devoted female fans has be likened to that of Justin Bieber on his. Niicknamed “Bellovers” , his fans have gone from strength to strength with numbers of more than 2 million across all social networks . The ‘’romantic’’ singer whose released a brand new single titled ‘’do like that’’ is in the UK  briefly and will be stopping by The Beat 103.6FM catching up with the Afrohits crew in Timmy , Shopsydoo and Dj Yung Milli tonight (29.09.16) between 9-11pm GMT so tune in for some hot tunes from Africa, entertaining chat and an interview with the Mavins record pop star.
